CUNY Kingsborough Campus status as New York State transitions to Essential Workers Only

As most are hopefully already aware, NYS is transitioning to 'essential workers' only at this stage in the Covid-19 SARS-COV-2 outbreak. Here is information from Kingsborough President Schrader that is relevant to our campus: "Effective Monday, March 23, the College will suspend all on-campus instruction and the majority of on-campus business operations and student support services. ... offices that will remain in operation on a staggered schedule, can be found here:  https://www.kbcc.cuny.edu/distanc…/studentserviceshours.html " During [this time], access to the campus will be closed. [you will need to make an appointment to be let on campus]" Expect disruptions to even these limited services. Keep up with your online work and do not allow yourself to fall behind. COIV19 - SARS-Cov-2 - Coronavirus Outbreak

Kingsborough, like all CUNY and SUNY schools, is transitioning to distance learning from March 19th 2020 --June 12 2020 (in other words for the remainder of the Spring 2020 semester). All lectures and labs will be online. This site is maintained by departmental staff and will be used to share information related to the Kingsborough Physical Sciences Departments Earth & Planetary Sciences courses. Most instructors are going to be using Blackboard. Make sure that you are able to login to Blackboard before the 19th.  You can log in to blackboard using this link:  https://bbhosted.cuny.edu/webapps/login/noportal In the event that CUNY supported and hosted distance learning services are down, we will try to use this site to provide at least minimal communications with students; check this site if you can not log in to your distance learning course.
